Visit Whiddy Island

Visit Whiddy Island, just off the coast at Bantry harbour lies the island of Whiddy.  A magical mysterious island to spend a pleasant day or two on discovering its natural and historical beauty. Get in touch with Tim O’Leary and he will arrange your ferry trip. There is the Bank house bar on the island for food and refreshments and you can walk or cycle around the island at your leisure. The island also has some rental homes if you fancy a tranquil time away from the mad rush of mainland life. Check out whiddyferry.com for information. They have started up guided tours for 2015, very knowledgeable guide. Make this year, Visit Whiddy Island year.

Maybe even some of the crew from RedFM should visit too, as they don’t seem to know where Whiddy Island is…

This is my third video of West Cork Islands which I have made simply for my own pleasure. Promoting the Beara and West Cork.

I have now made this the second version of the video. A lovely day again for the second visit. Make sure that 2015 is your year to visit Whiddy Island too…
