The Beara Peninsula is a spectacular peninsula. One of the fingers of land jutting out of the south west corner of Ireland in Munster. It is saved of all the hustle and bustle that can be found in Kerry, simply as it is not possible to drive around in a coach. Here lots of photos and photography of the region.

Dursey Festival

Dursey Festival 2015 a well organised weekend but unfortunately let down by the cable car running on Winter hours. Hundreds were turned away from the island. Which was a great shame as there was plenty to do and see on the Island. Even the mayor of Cork made it over and was almost stuck on the island. The cable car is Ireland’s only cable car and as such is a big tourist draw to the area. Which is well in need of visitors. In any case those that made it had a great time and there were quite a few people sleeping over on the Saturday night. Thanks to the Islanders for their hospitality.

Lost in Schull

Lost in Schull with Caillte a short film set on the Beara Peninsula West Cork Ireland. This film was accepted into the Fastnet Short Film Festival for 2015. Our first attempt at Film competition. There were lots of great films there from all over the world, some on big budgets, but many like ours were shot on a Zero Euro Production…

We had the pleasure of going for two days of the festival and met some interesting people. It was also great to be able to judge your own level of filming by comparing with other films that we saw. I guess we saw about thirty of all the films there.
