The Calf rock has the remains of a Cast Iron Lighthouse on it, google it to read the story about the brave men who escaped with their lives after a storm. The light house was then temporarily placed on the end of Dursey Island whilst the next one and still running was placed on Bull Rock.

Michael Dwyer Festival 2019

Michael Dwyer Festival 2019, the 21st festival and a great weekend was had by all. The weather was fantastic and a great group of musicans and their entourage arrived in Allihies for Three nights and two days of great music. There was also the opening of Lynda Loughnane’s exhibition in the Allihies Mine Museum which was based on the subject of musicians.

Cahermore Silage 2019

Cahermore Silage 2019 working away at the silage that crazy time of year is upon us. I went out in the morning for the shots of the grass cut laying in the fields. Then in the evening back for some shots of the lads collecting and baling.
