Cahermore School Concert and Plays

Cahermore School Concert and Plays were great fun. A large crowd attended filling the hall for the evening of music and two plays organised by the pupils and staff of Cahermore National School. The kids were brilliant in their roles and great laughter was had by all. Lots of local people had a mention in the first play “The return of the Garnish GPO”. The following play was “Hoodwinked” performed by older pupils from the school.

Watch a short video here, the full 90 minutes will be available from the school

Allihies Fashion Extravaganza

Allihies Fashion Extravaganza, Allihies Ladies Group in conjunction with ‘Illusions Boutique’ of Dunmanway were proud to present to you, a fashion show. This was a not-to-be-missed event. Entrance Fee was only €5. An extremely worthwhile event making some money for Palliative Care.

The models were all local and made a fantastic job of the show. They really looked like they had all lots of experience on the cat walk. Well done to them. I guess there was lots of work done behind the scenes as well.

Watch the short three minute film…

St Patricks Day

St Patricks Day in Castletownbere 2015 was a great event. The weather was with the crowd and lots of floats turned up for the day hoping to take the first prize for the best dressed up team. There was the normal inter school competition to see who would be the top of the bunch and some of the principals were fighting for the top position…

I still don’t know who won. In any case I put together a video of the floats and did it twice, one with the natural sound of what was going on and the second backed by the Lehanmore Community groups playing in Mac Carthy’s bar after the event.

Pictures are good but a film makes it real

Looking forward to next year. In any case I reckon Bike N Beara should have it….
