Myanmar – Yangon and Inle Lake

It ain’t half hot mum…. for the English speakers….

We arrived in Yangon after a few weeks in Thailand and were delighted to find our selves back in an Asia that we remember rather than the modern affluence of Thailand. Yangon is a vibrant city with lots going on all day long till about nine at night when the whole place seems to close down.
We then took a night bus to Inle Lake, we spent five nice days here exploring the countryside and the lake. The only problem we are finding here is that as more people are coming there is not enough accommodation, so it is necessary to ring ahead to pre book rooms which we have never done before. On top of that they are expensive at about 30USD a night for three people sharing a room…
