Morocco on a Moto

Morocco on a Moto in November 2023, once I arrived in Tangier I did 5000KM in 25 days, amazing countryside and well worth a visit.

Watch some videos here below

Day one, boat from Tarifa to Tangier and then ride to Chefchaouen.

After two nights I took a lovely ride to Fez. A nice town, where unfortunately I got robbed from my room, something which I imagine is very rare. I let it go as I did not want any rough justice.

After two nights I rode through the Atlas to Erfoud the gateway to the sahara, a long days riding and it was cold in the morning but warmed up as I rode south, I had my best meal of the trip on the roadside.

After two nights in Erfoud I rode across the country a bit to Boumalne Dades where I ended up staying four nights as it was just so nice there with plenty of rising to do without bags.

So four days later I headed towards Tafraoute

Tafraoute was a cool place so I stayed three days and then did a long ride possibly the nicest ride ever, across the High Atlas to Asnil

From here I rode to Essaouira on the Atlantic coast, a nice town, however I had got used to staying in small places so left the next day.

I ended up zig zagging my way back to the mountains and the Sahara.

After hurting my back, as can be seen in the video I headed back to Tangier and Spain.

Belgians in the desert

Today Thursday the 9th of November I did a circuit without my bags, from Erfoud to Merzouga, then on to Taouz to get to the end of the road, as it were. There I did a uturn and came back on my self to Merzouga and on to Rissani, I continued on to visit Gara Medour.

Between Erfoud and Merzouga, fortunately I met up with seven Belgian lads, I am sorry I can only remember Dominics name, but they allowed me to tag on with them for two hours and we went off road for a while. The smaller bikes had it easy compared to the bigger bikes.

Once we split up, I lunched and did the rest myself.

Sorry the images are not in order, my tablet seems to mix them up and I can’t figure out why.
