Cast a Spell Allihies is a short video made up of many clips taken over the last 24 months.

The films were all shot on DSLR and put together by Balooz as a promotional visual tool for Allihies. If anybody wants a video made for whatever purpose please get in touch for a chat.

The song was written and performed by Pat Higgins and recorded at shotgun studios. Many thanks to Pat for giving his permission to use the track.

Cabin Fever

Cabin Fever here in Allihies in Wesht Cork, a cabin that has been on a site for years suddenly disappeared today. No one seems to know where it has gone and the leftovers of its contents are up in flames.

24 hours later

The saga continues, another 24 hours later and the whole place has been cleaned up and tidied, you’d never believe that the cabin had ever been there……

Balydonegan Waves

Balydonegan waves first winds of October rise up the sea to create some nice rolling wave. I used a very high shutter speed of 1/8000th of a second and an ISO of 400 to get these shots. Some of the shots are not as sharp as I would have liked and I put this down to the cheap lens I was using. The lens was on infinity setting so there should be a sharp spot on each image. The effects of the frozen sea are quite good though.
